Since 2013, Mashruwala, 76, has served as Reliance Jio’s managing director. He is a distinguished professional.

One of Reliance Jio’s two managing directors, Sanjay Mashruwala, has left the company, the company announced in a stock exchange statement. Mashruwala, 76, has been involved in several of Reliance’s projects and business activities since the company’s founding by Dhirubhai Ambani and has been a major executive.

Effective June 9, he will depart Jio, according to the company.

A BSE filing states that Pankaj Mohan Pawar, the other managing director, will stay on.

“This is to inform you that Sanjay Mashruwala, Managing Director, has tendered his resignation as Director of the company, effective June 9, 2024,” the filing said.

Since 2013, Mashruwala, 76, has served as Reliance Jio’s managing director. He is a distinguished professional.

“The Board placed on record its appreciation for the contributions made by Sanjay Mashruwala in the transformative journey of the company,” it said.
