Sameer Wadhawan announces retirement from Samsung Electronics India as SVP & Head - HR

Wadhawan held positions at Coca-Cola India and South-West Asia before joining Samsung Electronics India.

Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources, Sameer Wadhawan, has announced his retirement from Samsung Electronics India.

Wadhawan has been employed at Samsung Electronics India for more than six years after joining the firm in January 2018.

“Thank you, leadership team, and my colleagues at Samsung Electronics for a very satisfying and professionally enriching journey. I will retire from the services of the company tomorrow,” Wadhawan shared on Monday in a LinkedIn post.

“I am filled with nostalgia as I look back at my corporate career of 37 years. The constant guidance, support, and coaching of my managers, friends, peers, and colleagues have made it a satisfying and fulfilling journey,” Wadhawan added.

Wadhawan held positions at Coca-Cola India and South-West Asia before joining Samsung Electronics India. He has had positions with Hewlett-Packard, Cadence Design Systems, and Nokia Siemens Networks in the past.

Wadhawan graduated from XLRI Jamshedpur with an MBA in Personnel Administration with a focus on Human Resources Management.

Wadhawan hasn’t decided what to do yet.
