Sahoo was recently recognised as CRN’s top disruptor, AsiaOne’s Global Person of the Year, and the Indian Achievers Award for his continued leadership in digital transformation, digital platforms, and leading innovation.
Sanjib Sahoo, Chief Digital Officer of Ingram Micro, received the prestigious Bharat Samman Award at the 34th annual NRI Pravasi Divas last week for his exemplary, innovative, and inclusive work as a global technology and business leader. The award was presented to Sahoo by Alastair Campbell, 4th Baron Colgrain, in the presence of other celebrated leaders at the House of Lords in London, United Kingdom. Sir Jeffrey Archer was also present, along with Manu Jagmohan Singh, CEO of the NRI Institute.
The Bharat Samman Award is bestowed upon a group of select People of Indian Origin (PIOs), living in India or abroad, for their outstanding achievements in their respective fields and their contribution to the socio-economic development of India as well as their country of residence. Presented annually by the NRI Institute, a non-profit NGO and registered body of PIOs connecting the Indian Diaspora since 1989, the award honours exceptional individuals and organisations for their global achievements, and it encourages overseas Indians to be a part of the socio-economic development of India. Recipients of the Bharat Samman Award also demonstrate an understanding of community needs through exemplary selfless voluntary service.
The 2023 recipients of the Bharat Samman include Sanjib Sahoo (Ingram Micro), Dr. Raghavpat Singhania (MD JK Cement), Mr. Ashok Todi (Chairman Lux Industries), and Mr. Biswanath Patnaik (Chairman Finnest).
