P&G reportedly revealed on Wednesday that Vittorio Cretella, the company’s current CIO, will retire in July after serving for five years.

Seth Cohen, who is now PepsiCo’s global chief information officer (CIO), will be moving to Procter & Gamble (P&G) in April and will take over as CIO in June.

P&G reportedly revealed on Wednesday that Vittorio Cretella, the company’s current CIO, will retire in July after serving for five years. Cretella was excited to have Cohen join the P&G team and stressed the value of acquainting him with the company’s IT division and current digital transformation initiatives, which have been essential in accelerating growth and improving customer experiences.

P&G has made significant progress with its AI ambitions under Cretella’s direction. The company now operates an AI factory and has over 35 generative AI applications. Cretella’s vision and execution are largely responsible for these accomplishments.

A P&G spokesperson outlined Cretella’s contributions to the company’s digital expansion, emphasizing his role in digitizing brand operations, developing digital expertise within the organization, and leading the way in the application of cutting-edge digital tools like automation, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing to support P&G’s strategic goals.
