Mr. Surajit Deb has been appointed as the Chief Technology Officer, according to a statement made by renowned financial services firm HDFC Securities. Mr. Deb’s new position will involve him supervising the Engineering, Information Technology, and associated Operations. HDFC Securities is committed to fostering innovation and improving its clients’ digital experiences, which is further demonstrated by this important addition to the leadership team.

Having worked in technology and digital innovation for more than 20 years, Mr. Deb is renowned for his ability to lead organizational and technological changes that dramatically improve IT resilience, operational effectiveness, and customer engagement. His knowledge is broad and includes fintech breakthroughs, cybersecurity, digital transformations, and IT infrastructure optimization. His hiring as CTO is expected to advance HDFC Securities’ goal of utilizing cutting-edge technology to offer smart, safe, and easy-to-use trading and investment products.

He was employed by IBM, Salesforce.com, and IDFC First Bank prior to his appointment. Surajit is a graduate of Calcutta University’s Bachelor of Technology in Radiophysics and Electronics and the PG Certificate Program in Management from IIM Kozhikode.
