Swapnil Jugade has been appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) – IT and Digital at Welspun Corp. Limited. Jugade, a 27-year-old pioneer in IT transformation, will manage the business’s digital and IT activities from the Mumbai corporate office. He will oversee IT operations for the company’s many companies, which include shipyards in India and the USA, Sintex, steel bars, pipes, and tubes, and report to the WCL Chief Digital Officer.
With 10 years of experience in supply chain and manufacturing operations and 17 years leading IT functions for well-known multinational corporations like Godrej & Boyce, Schneider Electric, Cummins India and USA businesses, C&S Electric, Yokohama Tires, and Revent Engineering (Amtek Auto), Jugade brings a wealth of knowledge to the table.

Jugade received his Executive MBA from the S. P. Jain Institute of Management in Mumbai and his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the Government College of Engineering, Karad, Maharashtra. He holds credentials in project management, BCM, ITPM, Six Sigma, and ITPM. Among the many honors he has received are IT Visionary Leader of the Year and The Legend Award from The World CIO 200 Summit 2023 (Global CIO Forum). He also holds an Oracle Global Certified ERP Expert certification.
