Vijay Balakrishnan has been named Chief Digital & Information Officer at Godrej & Boyce. Having worked in the manufacturing industry for more than 20 years, Vijay is committed to maximizing the value of technology through responsible adoption.
Vijay will oversee Godrej & Boyce’s digital transformation initiatives in his new role. His projects will make use of cutting-edge technological platforms to connect items, enhance customer experiences, introduce smart manufacturing, and digitize the supply chain. His plans aim to improve operational effectiveness in a number of business and corporate areas, such as procurement, R&D, HR, and commercial.
Vijay promotes responsible technology usage by using behavioral modeling and raising consciousness in general. In order to preserve the integrity and effectiveness of digital operations, he is committed to putting in place highly reactive controls, command center monitoring, and corrective action implementation.
Prior to joining Godrej & Boyce, Vijay led digital transformation initiatives for major players in the market, including GE, Michelin, and UPL Ltd., with success. He is well-known for his contributions to frugal innovation projects in emerging technologies and is a famous speaker at many technological conferences.
In addition to his career achievements, Vijay’s hobbies include traveling, reading, playing ping-pong, and running.
