IT services firm plans to set up an IT development centre at the company’s Nagpur location
IT services firm HCL Technologies announced its plans on Thursday to hire 1,000 candidates in the next few months. The new employees, who will include freshers and experienced professionals, will work at the company’s facility in Nagpur.
The IT services firm has a campus of 50 acres in MIHAN (Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport) at Nagpur, the winter capital of Maharashtra which became operational in April 2018. The facility currently houses 2,000 employees.
Engineering and R&D Services (ERS), application development and infrastructure management services line of business is the main focus of HCL Nagpur. The firm plans to set up an IT development centre at this location which will include efforts to recruit, train and employ local talent and create sustainable ecosystems for them.
The overall strength of the company as of December 31 2020 stood at 1.59 lakh as the firm in 2020 hired over 10,000 employees. The IT services firm’s centres in New Vistas locations like Madurai, Lucknow, Nagpur and Vijayawada, in the last four years, have nurtured and hired over 15,000 candidates, who are now an integral part of HCL Technologies.
The new 1,000 employees, who are interested to kick-start their IT career with HCL are invited to apply for the firm’s training and hiring programme. The company is also offering training programmes for students who have completed Class XII and ahead.
Also positions are open in technologies like Java, Salesforce, Mulesoft, PLM and Automation test for working professionals having a work experience between two to 20 years.
Recently in January, the company had announced that it is organising a virtual mega recruitment drive to hire around 1,000 candidates in Andhra Pradesh, which would also include freshers and experienced professionals. The drive will be held on February 12 and 13 2021. This hiring will happen for the IT development centre located at Gannavaram in Vijayawada that has been operational since February last year with around 1,500 employees.
The Vijayawada centre, which is in sync with the firm’s philosophy to create and operate a state-of-the-art global IT development centre, has a main focus on high-end technologies, which include engineering research and development, application development and product and platforms business. Fresh graduates and professionals with a work experience of between two to eight years can apply for open positions in technologies such as Java, Chip, Designing, Dot Net, Azure, Micro-services, SAP, Python, Protocol Development, Networking, DevOps and Automation testing.
