Chief Digital and Information Officer: Tony Thomas takes up new position at Signify

Before joining Signify as a Chief Digital and Information Officer, Thomas was associated as Senior Advisor with Boston Consulting Group

Tony (Anthony) Thomas has moved on by taking up a new position as Chief Digital and Information Officer at Signify and will be operating from the company headquarters in the Netherlands. Being one of the global leaders in the lighting and IOT space Signify offers energy-efficient lighting solutions and to make businesses more productive and cities more liveable.

As a Chief Digital and Information Officer, Thomas will report to the management as an acting member of the leadership team and will lead the global IT and Digital Transformation teams. Kurt de Ruwe, Head-IT, and Carlos Sierra Chinchilla, program manager – Digital transformation will report to him directly that also includes their respective teams.

Before joining Signify as a Chief Digital and Information Officer, Thomas was associated as Senior Advisor with Boston Consulting Group. Having over 25 years of experience including 12 years of leading Digital Transformations at a Global level, Thomas in his past assignment has served a stint of over two years at Nissan in Japan, where he led the global IT of the automotive company as a CIO.

As a CIO for Nissan, Thomas was responsible for managing all Information Systems, Information Technology, Data & Analytics and Cyber Security for all Nissan brands Infiniti and Datsun across the globe. He has also worked with Alliance partners Renault and Mitsubishi to drive synergies and efficiencies.

Additionally, Thomas was responsible for driving Digital Transformation throughout the value chain covering Design, Research & Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Connected Mobility Service, and more.

Chief Digital and Information Officer – Thomas is a renowned global technology leader and in the capacity of Global CIO, he has worked with companies such as GE and Vodafone.
