CISO: Amit Dhawan takes up a new role at Quantiphi

He will be leading the cyber-security initiatives and will be accountable for the cyber-security posture of the organisation across the globe in his new role as a CISO & DPO

Amit Dhawan has joined Quantiphi as a CISO & DPO (Chief Information Security Officer & Data Privacy Officer) by moving on from Birlasoft. He will be based in Mumbai and report to Ritesh Patel, Co-founder of Quantiphi.

Quantiphi, founded in 2013 is an AI-first digital engineering company.

He will be leading the cyber-security initiatives and will be accountable for the cyber-security posture of the organisation across the globe in his new role as a CISO & DPO.

He will also be leading the data privacy function and ensuring that Quantiphi aligns with all regulatory mandates at all geographies.

Dhawan also served as a CISO & DPO in his previous role at Birlasoft and was associated with the company for more than three years.

Dhawan, an ex-defence personnel, served the Indian Navy for many years and served a Joint Director where he headed the Computer Incident Reponse Team (CIRT). Also, he has worked with companies like JPMorgan Chase and Skillmine Technology Consulting in the past.

He has been involved in various information security projects throughout his career and is skilled in Risk, Computer Forensics, Security, Project Planning and Team Management.

Dhawan holds an MBA degree as well as a post-graduate certificate in AI & ML. He graduated from Naval College of Engineering.
