Sportsbet, a company owned by Flutter Entertainment, has announced the appointment of Michael Foster as its new chief information officer.
Foster, who spent seven and a half years working at Sportsbet, assumes the new CIO position. He has held the positions of general manager for customer experience delivery and general manager of enterprise technology in the past.
Foster was employed at advertising services company Sensis before joining Sportsbet, which is based in Australia. He had several managerial positions here, including group manager of IT operations.
Foster also worked for a while as the IT manager for the Sensis Classifieds company, overseeing the online classifieds systems. He also briefly worked for Infosys, a company that provides digital services and consulting.
Foster describes himself as “excited, thrilled, and privileged” to take on the new role at Sportsbet in a LinkedIn post announcing his hiring.
Foster remarked, “Sportsbet is an amazing organization to be a part of.” The previous seven years have been immensely fulfilling on a personal and professional level. It truly is a dream come true to be able to oversee our technological capabilities presently.
“Our technology team has a remarkable history of fusing technological innovation with consumer demands to produce amazing goods and experiences. I’m eager and enthusiastic to support the team as they continue to accomplish these goals and push themselves to new heights.
“Michael is no stranger to our business; he has held a number of senior technology leadership roles with us since 2016,” Sportsbet continued.
Michael brings a wealth of technical leadership expertise to the CIO position, having worked in IT roles across multiple industries for more than 20 years. We are thrilled to have him join our executive group.
