Naseem Halder, a cybersecurity leader, has joined Slice as the Head of Information Security and Compliance. The fintech firm Slice is focused on the youth segment and has a smart, innovative, and transparent platform to redesign the financial experience for millennials and GenZ.

In his previous role at Acko General Insurance, Halder was the CTO and CISO, where his stint lasted for more than 5 years. Halder, in his role at Acko as the CTO and CISO, was responsible for ensuring organizational information security and resilience through collaborative leadership, high-impact strategies, and leading-edge technologies. While improving enterprise processes and building top-tier teams, he has successfully devised and implemented transformational enterprise security strategies.

Halder, with over a decade of experience, has expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies to protect organizations from cyber threats. With a proven ability to build and lead high-performing security teams, he also possesses a deep understanding of the latest security technologies, trends, and best practices and comes with a unique ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The astute professional is proficient in handling activities pertaining to requirement analysis, project design, management and coordination as well as performing business analysis on GRC Consulting, Risk Assessment, Vendor Risk Assessment, Third Party Audit, IT Policy design & Auditing. He has expertise in understanding the business and technical requirements of implementing and managing ISMS, Gap Analysis, BCP, and DR for better IT Security. For tracking the implementation, developing test plans and strategies, examining all aspects of the information security program from the client’s or end user’s perspective, and finally finding and eliminating problems, he has been liaising closely with the stakeholders. Along with providing the technical solution as per the requirements, he revels in client interactions, conducting analysis for scope management and work plan management.

Risk assessment, GRC, vendor audit, third-party audit, GAP assessment, internal audit, IT security (endpoint security/anti-virus engine), infosec consulting, malware analysis, compliance management, vendor management, data security and privacy, data leak prevention, data governance, etc. are Halder’s core competencies.
