WashTec AG hires Michael Drolshagen as CEO and CTO, heralding in a new leadership era

WashTec AG, a car wash industry leader, has announced a substantial change in senior leadership, appointing Mr. Michael Drolshagen as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Senior Officer (CEO).

WashTec AG, a car wash industry leader, has announced a significant change in senior leadership, naming Mr. Michael Drolshagen as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Senior Officer (CEO), beginning May 1, 2024.

This strategic action follows the mutual agreement to terminate Dr. Ralf Koeppe’s Management Board membership on February 29, 2024. Drolshagen’s previous post as Managing Director/CEO of the Steering division at Thyssenkrupp Presta Aktiengesellschaft, along with his considerable automotive industry knowledge, positions him as a valuable contributor to WashTec AG’s future ambitions.

Since joining Thyssenkrupp Presta Aktiengesellschaft in 2018, he has achieved noteworthy success and demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities. The Supervisory Board, chaired by Ulrich Bellgardt, has expressed complete confidence in Drolshagen’s ability to lead WashTec AG’s strategic goals and support growth in the dynamically changing car wash market.

Prior to his current job, Drolshagen was Vice President After Sales for the global aftermarket at Porsche AG, where he reported directly to the Executive Board. His automotive career began at Hella as a project manager before going on to Porsche, where he made major contributions to production preparation and held many managerial posts. This diversified background underpins Drolshagen’s thorough understanding of the automobile business.

The leadership changeover at WashTec AG is more than just a change in individuals; it represents a strategic shift toward innovation and dynamic growth. Drolshagen’s leadership is expected to propel WashTec AG toward its strategic goals, increase shareholder value, and preserve its competitive advantage in the global market. The industry and stakeholders are closely following this development, anticipating the new directions WashTec AG will pursue under Drolshagen’s leadership. His track record of driving company growth and innovation bodes well for WashTec AG’s future.

As WashTec AG begins on this new adventure with Michael Drolshagen at the helm, the firm is well-positioned to meet the future challenges and prospects of the car wash sector with fresh vigor and strategic acumen.

The industry is closely observing Drolshagen’s appointment to lead WashTec AG into a new era of leadership and innovation.
